Judicial circles in New York Times: 10 more cases of armament programs will open
Female judiciary tells NYT: I will get my retirement and I still will not know how many bribes were given for the armament programs
In Greece something has begun to change, the New York Times wrote today referring to the persecutions that justice has been brought on once powerful players of the country.
The American newspaper refers to the sense of injustice felt by Greek citizens as they were being affected by tax measures, while the elite of the country remained untouched. To the satisfaction of many, it continues, this is changing as justice now operates free of political pressures and exposes scandals and corruption cases.
The newspaper makes specific reference to two ladies of Justice, the 52-year-old Eleni Raikou and the 36-year-old Popi Papandreou stressing their determination and contribution in unraveling corruption cases.
“We are a parallel authority. I don’t take orders from the prime minister,” a judicial source under anonymity told the newspaper.
The article also reports that authorities are expecting to open 10 more cases of armament programs.
Asked to determine the total amount that has gone into the armament programs bribes in Greece the judicial source (a woman as the newspaper reports) replied: "I'll get my pension and I still will not know."
