The shocking dialogues of police officers the night of Fyssas’ murder
"Stay at a distance," the order to the DIAS group - "Please send an ambulance quickly," shouted the police over Fyssas - 25 minutes for the ambulance to reach the scene, officers were preparing to take him to hospital by taxi
Shocking information on how the Hellenic Police reacted the night of the murder of Pavlos Fyssas in Keratsini are coming to the limelight.
As is apparent from the case file documents before the attitude of the police at the scene of the murder was "passive" because they had information from Golden Dawn members that it was a scuffle with anti-authoritarians.
"Twenty people of the Golden Dawn inform us that they had a quarrel with people of the known space (i.e. anti-authoritarians). We're close. We are trying to ease the situation. You must know, from what we can see, there are some brass knuckles and guns here," DIAS police say to the Headquarters. And the response of the Police center, which was probably crucial was "stay at a distance in order to describe the situation here in the center."
The DIAS crew calls at least four times for reinforcements with the announcer from the center of the Hellenic Police not answering and being only interested in whether the episode involved foreigners.
Five minutes after midnight the men of the DIAS group indicate that there is a stabbed person at the scene: "Center, a person is... hass... is blood stained, possibly from a knife. He shows us another person here that has attacked him. Both gentlemen are here," and a few seconds after that are urgently calling for an ambulance as "the person may have been stabbed in the heart."
The data in the file show that the ambulance arrived at the scene about 25 minutes after the call from the police who were ready to take Pavlos Fyssas to a hospital by taxi.
