Tsipras: Elections will come in 2014
"Elections will come in 2014," SYRIZA president Alexis Tsipras said during his visit to the Paidopoli Foundation "Agios Andreas", reiterating that the coming year will be the "year zero", the year "we will reset the odometer of collapse and will start step by step the reconstruction of the country."

Tsipras appeared scathing about yesterday’s leaks from Maximos Mansion that the polls will be set up in 2016, noting that "the 2016 elections are the gift the government wants to get from Santa Claus."

Ηe also expressed the hope that this Christmas is "the last dark Christmas and we can rebuild a better perspective for the country."

"This year we are probably going through the most difficult Christmas in decades, but Christmas is a celebration of hope, love, solidarity and this dark environment we live in, we can at least break it inside of us. In solidarity, collectivity, compassion, these values that we must reinvent to get out of the crisis," Tsipras added.

He also said that no one should be alone amidst the crisis and that "it is a stigma in our culture that we can not give the minimum to children in need, but also to the unemployed, the homeless, the people without rights."
