The parents of the 27-year-old came from Pakistan - His mother collapsed
The trial for the murder of the 27-year-old Pakistani Luaman Shehzad in Petralona on January 17, 2013 will continue on January 8, 2014.
Accused for his murder are two young men, alleged members of the Golden Dawn, Christos Stergiopoulos and Dionysis Liakopoulos, who, however, deny having any relationship with the fascist party.
The parents of the unfortunate young man who came from Pakistan to Athens were today in the courtroom. As expected, the atmosphere was emotionally charged and the mother of Luaman Shehzad collapsed. His father asked for the punishment of his child murderers.
During today's proceedings four witnesses testified. First was a local couple who lives in an apartment building next to the crime scene who said they did not recognize the murderers but heard the groans of the young Pakistani who was stabbed and covered in blood on the ground.
Two police officers of the DIAS team also testified, as they were the ones who arrested the two accused and found the murder weapon -a dagger- on one of them.
