The 'hidden' charges of the Greek state budget for 2014

The wastage in the public sector continues despite the fact that Greek society is on its knees from cuts and austerity measures for five years now.

The draft budget being debated in parliament hides many charges which today seem particularly provocative.

As for example that for "paper supply, graphics items and other related materials" in the MoF taxpayers will pay 4,012,770 euros, which is what is needed to reconnect the power to households that are freezing due to the poverty brought by the memoranda.

At the same time as the "Dimokratia" newspaper writes, the ministry’s postal costs for 2014 will reach 37 million euros.

According to the newspaper in the next year, which is an election year, the Ministry of Finance will subsidize mayors and presidents of communities with the additional amount of 44,414,000 euros.
