Crucial meeting between Samaras and Merkel next Friday in Berlin
Amid pressure from Troika and Eurogroup, Samaras is seeking support from the German Chancellor
In a particularly critical period for Greece with Troika requesting more progress and German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble asking for respect on what the country has achieved so far, Greek Premier Antonis Samaras goes to Berlin next Friday, where he will meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Samaras is going to Germany under the "Leaders Meeting" organized by the Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper on 21-25 of November in Berlin.
The meeting will include Angela Merkel, Italian Prime Minister Enrico Leta, European Central Bank President Mario Draghi, European Parliament President Martin Schulz, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble, Bundesbank chief Jens Vaintman, analysts and entrepreneurs.
One day before his meeting with Merkel, Samaras will meet in Athens with U.S. Commerce Secretary, Penny Pritzker.
