Today's scheduled debate on the urgent questions by Tsipras and Papariga on real estate taxes is deferred
Due to a diplomatic impediment of FinMin Yannis Stournaras the two topical questions about the real estate tax that had been filed on the last Tuesday by SYRIZA president Alexis Tsipras and Communist Party leader Aleka Papariga will not be discussed in parliament.
The discussion was scheduled for today at the Conference of Presidents, however, the clear message of the ND and PASOK parliamentary groups that they will not support the bill if it does not get more fairer, is forcing the MoF to revise the original plans and Stournaras to defer the discussion with Tsipras and Papariga as the single real estate tax hangs by a thread.
It should be noted that the questions were addressed to premier Antonis Samaras but it was announced that they would be answered in parliament today by Stournaras, pursuant to the parliamentary rules stating that the Prime Minister answers questions addressed to him unless the object is of the exclusive competence of a minister, in which case the question can be answered by the latter.
