Tsipras: Campaign to the people and openings on the Left wing

On the occasion of the conference of July, SYRIZA will attempt to regain contact with vulnerable and ridden social groups, which in recent months have been puzzled with the ideological and political changes of the party.

Alexis Tsipras’ team is absolutely satisfied with the president's visit to Spain and the promotion of an alliance of the countries of southern Europe against the German policy of austerity, but also realize that this is not enough.

The stagnation in the polls and the weak social mobilization against the memorandum policies have upset SYRIZA. The party leadership recognizes they must rediscover their party characteristics and not leave the radicalism that brought them to the position of the opposition. They are also trying to create a new synthesis between the majority and the Left wing after the collision of the components and trends within the party.

Thus, after the international visits and meetings, Alexis Tsipras starts traveling around Greece, appearing in pre-conference events and speaking at open gatherings.

Monday afternoon Tsipras will speak at an event in Drapetsona, where he will present the SYRIZA positions towards a relief from poverty.

MP of the area and Left-wing head Panagiotis Lafazanis will be at his side.

The relations between the two intraparty sides are smoothed out after some recent placements of Tsipras and other leading members of the party, that restore SYRIZA on a track of strong questioning of the eurozone, if a leftist government were to be pressed with the threat of exiting the euro, in order to accept the memorandum.
