Eurogroup president and Finance minister of the Netherlands, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, hinted on a possible relief of the Greek debt in the summer of 2014 provided that Greece will fully honor its commitments.

Speaking to “Kathimerini” newspaper Jeroen Dijsselbloem says "we have not yet made decisions about what form this debt relief will take and whether it will include partial removal of the bilateral loans."

Earlier, during this coming summer, European officials will decide if Greece will be able to exploit the direct recapitalization of banks by the European Stability Mechanism to erase up to 50 billion euros of its debt, the Dutch minister of Finance reveals, adding that he plans to visit Greece very soon.

Dijsselbloem says is satisfied with the performance of Greece in implementing the memorandum and calls on the European Commission to be flexible, and to not require the implementation of new fiscal measures for 2015-16.
