Governmental reshuffle nearer via Samaras
The decision of prime minister Antonis Samaras to set up six new deputy ministerial positions is an indication that a government reshuffle is imminent.

The decision was published in the Government Gazette and provides for the creation of deputy ministers positions in six ministries: Justice, Administrative Reform, Public Order, Tourism, Marine and Macedonia-Thrace; also for the creation of a vice minister’s position at the ministry of Education and Culture.

According to information, Samaras is dissatisfied with the performance of some ministers, first of which Manitakis.

Manitakis remains a problem for Maximos Mansion that might bring the reshuffle closer, which Samaras will combine with structural changes and improvement of the government mechanism that moves at a very slow pace.

The pressure exercised by Evangelos Venizelos is halting the reshuffle as information indicates that although the PM considers the other two leaders his prerogative must not be obscured. The PM does not like Venizelos’ attitude and his raising the issue of the government’s functionality.
