German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble said today, Thursday, that Cyprus is a very special case and the European Union has found the right solution for the country, with the 10 billion euros assistance agreement coupled with the imposition of losses on bank depositors.

"Cyprus is a very special case, we all know this. And we found the right solution," Schäuble told the SWR radio station.
The German minister added that Luxembourg has a completely different business model than Cyprus and "any comparison would be absurd."
