Samaras: COSCO and HP agreement is a vote of confidence in Greece

Prime minister Antonis Samaras called the signing of the agreement between the Chinese COSCO and American Hewlett Packard on transporting products of the latter to Southeastern and Central Europe through the port of Piraeus and the TRAINOSE rail network, as a vote of confidence in Greece.

"The port of Piraeus is a strong growth vehicle for all of Greece," the premier said, and stated that with the rail link between the port and Thriasio, Greece completes strategic networks and infrastructure that will release investments.

"We give the right to support entrepreneurship in these difficult times, as we must have new jobs," he said, welcoming the signing of the agreement between the two international companies and saying that such investments provide a new momentum and establish Piraeus on the international map.

"Such investments help our country and deal with unemployment, which remains a priority. There are no magic solutions," he continued, noting that similar actions will soon follow, which will lead the country out of the crisis.
