UPD:
Metro workers decided today, Tuesday, to continue their strike for the 8th consecutive day, despite the court ruling that it is illegal.
Speaking on the Vima FM radio station, government spokesman Simos Kedikoglou said that " the leaders of the strikes will have to comply with the court orders by tomorrow, otherwise they will face the legal consequences. The legislation provides for what should happen to those leading the strikes."
Earlier today, and in the face of potential conscription, transport workers said they would not budge and announced they would answer "with their own war to the war of the government."
"There will have a blackout in transportation if the government proceeds to conscription, and this is not a threat," union representative Christos Koukis said.
Metro trains were docked today for the 7th consecutive day, while workers in electrical rail and tram went on work stoppages from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The case file for the strikes in public transport was sent to State Security
In order to proceed quickly with the investigation of the public transport strikes, the head of the District Attorney of Athens, Panagiota Fakou, forwarded the case file to the General Police Directorate of Athens (GADA). Yesterday Fakou had ordered a prosecution investigation for the same case. The investigation is expected to be completed by Friday. Judicial sources said that if the investigation reveals the perpetration of offenses, the law provides even for the sacking of workers in public transport.
The case file sent to State Security includes references to workers who, while on strike, are paid normally, and articles with charges by the ministry of Development, under which teams of employees requested days off or sick leave while on strike in order to be paid their wages normally.
It also contains decisions by the First Instance Court of Athens which ruled the strikes illegal. The investigation is expected to seek liability for those violating the enforcement of these rulings by continuing the strike.
KKE: Brutal threats by the government
Meanwhile, KKE speaks of brutal threats by the government "against the struggle and the just demands of the Metro workers," and invites people to condemn them.
"The policy of the Greek government and the EU is what is afflicting the people and not the struggles of workers," it adds.
