A few days after the revelation that former Finance minister Yorgos Papakonstantinou had removed the names of his relatives from the list with Greek depositors at HSBC, the financial prosecutors investigating the case, Grigoris Peponis and Spyros Mouzakitis, have summoned as suspects three account beneficiaries whose names were not on the first Lagarde list.
They are Eleni Papakonstantinou, cousin of the former minister, her husband Simeon Sikiaridis and Andreas Rossonis, husband of Papakonstantinou's other cousin, Marina.
Information indicates that several of the people with bank accounts at HSBC and their name on the Lagarde list cannot justify the amounts in their bank accounts via their tax returns.

Nevertheless, these people were kept away from audits for about two years and without any legal procedure against them. Now, after the completion of the investigations they might be called upon by the relevant authorities to give explanations about the way they acquired these specific ammounts.

The same sources report that former SDOE chiefs G. Kapeleris and I. Diotis will pass by the office of the Public Prosecutor again. They might also be joined by office colleagues of Papakonstantinou who will be called in for explanations too.
