Why Lagarde’s list was put on the «shelf»

 

In a letter to the chairman of the Committee on Institutions and Transparency, Golden Dawn MP Michalis Arvanitis says:

 

«I would like to inform the committee that I mistakenly voted against the current proposal bySYRIZA to the Committee on Institutions and Transparency, while my intention was to vote in its favor. Please delete the relevant records and let my vote be counted as a positive one.»

 

The Golden Dawn announcement moved along the same wavelength: "Golden Dawn insists on its firm position about an ultimate unraveling of every case regarding black political money. The names on Lagarde’s list should be published and Justice must investigate the tax statements of those who sent millions abroad."

 

The SYRIZA proposal

 

Yesterday the main opposition party felt that there are grave civil and criminal liabilities for those who worked on or handled this specific material. The phrase by Zoe Konstantopoulou at the Committee on Institutions and Transparency that «we are willing to get to the bottom of this case», was quite characteristic.

 

This decision was made after the developments in the Committee on Institutions and Transparency, when the majority of its members (ND, PASOK, DIMAR and Golden Dawn) decided not to turn into an inquiry committee, thus interrupting the critical investigation that began last November.
