Rough clash between Venizelos and Michaloliakos

Evangelos Venizelos’ revelation during his speech at the meeting of the PASOK Organizing Committee, that he will try to outlaw the Golden Dawn, provoked hostilities between PASOK and the Golden Dawn.

Venizelos announced that on Monday he will present PASOK’s initiative which will “reveal the Golden Dawn as an unconstitutional party.”

The Golden Dawn press office replied with a harsh statement:

"Golden Dawn is a legal political party recognized by the Areios Pagos Supreme Court, which enjoys the confidence of more than a million Greeks. PASOK is the party of corruption, bribes, vested interests and the memorandum, condemned by the Greek people and lying on the margins of public life. If Venizelos and his friends want to 'outlaw' the Golden Dawn party they would do well to hurry, for soon they will be at 0% and will have neither a party, nor offices or MPs to entertain us with similar ridiculous statements. Some of them will not even have their personal liberty, having been involved in huge corruption scandals and squandering of public money."
