Which employees will leave and from where
Until next week, all ministries will have to send a list with the employees to be suspended to the Administrative Reform ministry.

According to Antonis Manitakis’ timetable, the first employees to get suspended will begin to be paid from Tuesday at 75% of their salary and by the end of the year they will reach 2,000.

The Administrative Reform minister has asked for direct information from other ministers about vacancies or surplus staff. He sent a letter to all his colleagues asking them to inform him about the needs and the situation in their ministries in order to proceed with the transfers and reappointments. Manitakis informed them that "to meet the immediate and pressing needs, they can utilise temporary employment of staff in any department or agency of the public sector."

The suspension is for employees working in ministries, government departments in the regions, in local authorities, independent authorities and all the utilities that are not listed on the ASE.

The suspension is for employees working in the aforementioned institutions under an employment relationship governed by a private contract of indefinite duration, of secondary education and in possession of Management, Management-Accounting, Management-Finance and Management-Secretary specializations. The Administrative Reform minister is asking his colleagues to fill the gaps in public services with administrative staff for now. Also, they should give priority "to the services with inadequate staff and services that have stopped hiring."
