DIMAR: We are not bluffing, the Troika needs to withdraw the measures

The Democratic Left insists on its decision not to vote for the changes in labour issues as reuqested by the the Troika.

The announcement by DIMAR Secretary Spyros Lykoudis reads: "The DIMAR executive committee insists unanimously and firmly on refusing to accept the proposals on labour relations. We are asking our European partners to withdraw the Troika demands that subvert the rights and gains of the workers of our country."

According to information on protothema.gr, the majority of members in the executive committee of the party supports the choices of their president Fotis Kouvelis.

However, it is not their intention to create a government crisis and they stress that the initiative is now in the hands of the Prime Minister.

"If they bring it in one article, we will vote present," said a senior member of the Democratic Left on protothema.gr on Thursday afternoon .

In the evening DIMAR member Dimitris Chatzisokratis met with State minister Dimitris Stamatis. Chatzisokratis had the opportunity to repeat the arguments of his party on labour issues, and especially to describe the refusal of DIMAR to vote on all of the measures if they come in one article.
