The Troika will give Greece intensive summer courses!
All through the summer, the Troika will be giving Greece intensive summer courses in order to create a useful package of measures together.
The lenders' representatives will stay in the country for as long as it needs, announced Finance minister Yannis Stournaras.
This decision is considered to be important since in the past, they usually said to the Greek side, “it’s time for us to go but when you are ready let us know and we will come back”. High officials say it signals the end to the once “hostile” stance of the Troika. Its people reassured their Greek colleagues that they will not abandon them.
The initial plan was for the inspectors to leave the country at the end of July and return in a month’s time to check on Greece’s progress connected to the 11.5 billion euro package and this year’s budget.
