Indications of relief from the crisis

The first test of the coalition government is close to relief, despite the differences among the 3 political leaders who support it. Democratic Left chairman Fotis Kouvelis' statement after the meeting is indicative of the climate. He said that the convergence of parties supporting the government remains full and it is on this basis that the three parties are working on.

Kouvelis hinted at those who "belatedly discover renegotiation," and which he called upon to abandon this policy stance that undermines the negotiating position of Greece. Asked if he suggested any of the governmental partners, Kouvelis clarified that he was not referring to any of those who attended the meeting.
 
The Democratic Left chairman noted that the objective of the 3 leaders was and still is to ensure equivalent measures to the commitments of the country that will also relieve the people. He added that the renegotiation is a tedious and lengthy process.
 
PASOK chairman Evangelos Venizelos said that the government’s aim is to review the adverse conditions of the program and that the start of its policy and the renegotiation will be the time extension. He added that the issue of extension has already been raised and that part of the meeting was attended by Finance minister Yannis Stournaras, who will implement all that has been agreed by the 3 leaders.
