The privatizations ended up in the election calendars. While there is no money to be had to pay public sector workers involved in the election process, the Board of the Fund for the Development of Private Property of the State decided by majority vote that “during the current period and until the formation of a government which will result from the new elections, it will refrain from making binding decisions for the future”.
According to the announcement of the Fund, the decision was made despite the efforts of the president of the board to find a way to continue publishing calls for interest which are merely preparatory acts.
However, it is noted that observers designated by the EU and the Eurozone expressed concern about the council’s decision.
