UPD:
From 20.00 tonight the country has as acting prime minister, the heretofore president of the CoS Panagiotis Pikrammenos, who was selected during the lunchtime meeting of the political leaders under Karolos Papoulias, as there was no agreement on a political figure. Papoulias had proposed Papademos, Samaras and Venizelos agreed, however Tsipras proposed Gerasimos Arsenis.
So at 14.15 the Presidency of the Republic announced that the decision was to form an interim government, headed by a judicial person according to Article 37, paragraph 3 of the Constitution.
Pikrammenos took his oath shortly after 20.00 at the Presidential Palace, and will undertake to lead the country to the elections of June 17. After the swearing Pikrammenos headed for Maximos Mansion in order to receive the post from Lucas Papademos.
Papademos expressed his confidence that the new prime minister will make every effort to formulate conditions of peace and moderation during the pre-election period. He added that "it is important to fulfill our international commitments and implement policies that will ensure confidence and stability during this period."
Pikrammenos said that the country is under special circumstances and that he is taking up a difficult post in a particularly difficult period, while he praised Papademos’ contribution as PM.
The new government will be sworn in at 10 am Thursday and the MPs at 11 am before the prime minister.

Initial information about the names of the ministers of the interim government is already circulating in political circles. The name of the current Interior minister Tassos Giannitsis has been heard for the post of Finance Minister, as well as that of the president of the Union of Greek Banks, Chr. Rapanos.
Petros Molyviatis and I. Zepos might assume the post of Foreign minister, while the Justice ministry will probably be taken over by the former president of the Council of State, Christos Yeraris.
Frangos Frangoulis is likely to take on the Defense ministry, while L. Oikonomou will probably run the ministry of Citizen Protection.
