KKE: Tsipras is using his mandate for the next elections…

KKE responded to the statements of the SYRIZA president and his 5 proposals for forming a government of the Left with a harsh statement.

Specifically, the Communist Party announcement reads: "Alexis Tsipras' proposals do not eliminate the memorandum and the loan agreement. Nonetheless, he presented as a populist way out some proposals that mask the generalized attack by unpopular monopolies and their parties, the commitments by all Member States, such as the 'EU Strategy 2020', policies embodied both in the memorandum and the loan agreement."

"Alexis Tsipras’ proposals are clearly saying that employees will again be asked to pay back much of the debt for which they have no liability, while the people need its elimination. They pave the way for privatization and lighten the load for capitalists to impose new anti-labor measures. They are not touching on the reactive changes in education, health and welfare."

"His announcements about public control of banks for the benefit of SMEs are a conscious attempt to deceive, as they condemn them with new loans in suffocating encirclement conditions by the monopolies."

"Alexis Tsipras’ declarations on productive rebuilding via ecological sensitivity are about the same path of development that has already resulted in deep crisis and the people’s bankruptcy, while shutting their eyes against the common agricultural policy and its consequences for the poor peasantry."

"The concealment of any reference to the permanent contractual obligations undertaken by Greek governments in NATO and the imperialist intervention plans in the Eastern Mediterranean, is very characteristic of SYNASPISMOS and SYRIZA's bow to the ruling class and its international allies. Such a government will complicate and exacerbate the problems of the people."
