UPD:
In a lengthy statement, ND president Antonis Samaras replied to today’s initiative by Mr. Alexis Tsipras.
Samaras described the risk of anarchy and accused the SYRIZA president of “dangerous experiments” at a time when the country has reached its limits.
He stated that “We are ready, with every good intention, to show our tolerance for a minority government - in which we will not partake - as long as it ensures that Greece remains in the Eurozone, as well as its own national interests” . He also blamed Mr. Tsipras for doing everything in his power so that a government is not formed. He stated that “we do not want to country to go to elections again” by stating that:
“Hearing Mr. Tsipras’ statements we realized that he has no desire to guarantee the European identity and perspective of Greece! Because what he states about “debt accounting research” and other extremities is leading directly into an exit from the Eurozone and default. The issue then is for Greek people not to pay for the populism of some who appear to be supporters of Greece’s European course, while at the same time they do everything in their power to undermine it.
The message of the election was received by our European partners, that they too have responsibilities. We called for a renegotiation of the economic policy so that the economy can breathe and society can be relieved. This is quite realistic and can be done.
Greece needs a government which will proceed with actions, which will ensure the European course of the country and will give it political stability and social relief.

Anyone who relies on the election outcome to dissolve the country should know that the people did not give any such command!
Mr. Tsipras does not ask me to take back the signature I sent to Europe, whereby I directly asked for changes in the Memorandum. He asks me to sign for the dissolution of Greece! That’s something I will not do. I hope that by tomorrow, Mr. Tsipras will have calmed down”.
Mr. Samaras assumes that Mr. Tsipras just wants to set up an anti-European left front and warns that he will find the European center-right front against him if he does.
