Ten parties in the new Parliament!

A ten-party Parliament is what comes out as a result of the latest survey by Marc on behalf of the Alpha television channel.

At the same time, ND remains the top party in voters’ preference but still, not as the only party in power. Together with PASOK they reach 40% and 158 seats.

Also high is the percentage of Panos Kammenos' Independent Greeks along with the rest parties of the Left, while Chryssi Avgi, the nationalist far right-wing party, also enters Parliament.

In particular, ND gets 22.3% (110 seats), PASOK 17.8% (48 seats), Independent Greeks 9.9% (26 seats), SYRIZA 9.8% (26 seats), ΚΚΕ 9.7% (26 seats), Democratic Alliance 8.6% (23 seats), Chryssi Avgi 5.7% (15 seats), LAOS 3.9% (10 seats), Ecologists Green 3.1% (8 seats) and Democratic Alliance 3% (8 seats).

Only 8.7% of the people asked believes that ND can form a government alone, whereas 44.2% “foresees” an ND-PASOK coalition government.

Regarding political leaders, Antonis Samaras and Evangelos Venizelos are close and people are in favour of them (with 15.6% and 14.7%, respectively), while Alexis Tsipras (7.9%) and Panos Kammenos  (7.8%) follow at a short distance from the top two.

An important detail coming out of this poll is that the udecided voters who will greatly affect the final election result seem to lean more towards the so-called “small” parties –and especially towards the Democratic Alliance, Independent Greeks and SYRIZA.
