He also mentioned some examples of the major problems of development:
-initiatives for better ESPA absorption, so that funds valuable for the funding of large projects, the support of SMEs and the creation of new employment positions, especially for the young.
-the state reform program,
-the notice of competitions for research to find oil and gas
-procedures for the rejuvenation of downtown Athens
-passing of anti-corruption laws.
Mr. Papademos also stated that the medium-term strategy must be prepared for 2013-2016, to implement the new fiscal program and implement decisions to improve competitiveness. These reasons, according to the PM are "a matter of national importance the handling of which must be taken over by a government with a popular vote".
Mr. Papademos underlined that "we are obligated that as a government we must deliver to the new government the baton in order for it to make its own choices. We must hand over a functioning state".
