Workers in the metro, subway and tram are to carry out a warning four-hour strike on Wednesday from 11:00am to 15:00 pm, asking for the signing of the Collective Labor Agreement.
As they report, the administration is trying to eliminate all of the institutional framework surrounding urban workers of stable orbit transport, thereby seeking to discredit and degrade both employees and the resulting product of transportation.
“Restoring labor relations during the Mandelis regime shows the mentality with which they perceive the modernization of bodies, to which we object”, states the announcement, adding that “the reduction in traffic, the increase of the ticket price, ticket evasion, transfers and layoffs do not address the companies’ restructuring for the benefit of citizens”.
