Ieronymos’ thunderous attack against the govt-Troika!

The Church of Greece is toughening its stance towards the Greek drama and “yelling” at those responsible, according to the Archbishop Ieronymos. Making a strong statement, Ieronymos attacked the Troika and the government for the policies they are following, stressing that they cannot turn a blind eye to the creeping danger of a-near-to-eruption volcano, namely Greece, or allow those 2 who prescribe fatal medicines to continue undisrturbed.  

“The Greeks have run out of patience” and "pensions were cut while day labourers are in despair and insecurity has found a nest inside every single Greek household” are only few of the points the Archbishop made in the letter he sent to the Greek premier, Lucas Papademos. On top of that, he underlined that all policies followed to date have been unsuccessful, adding that it is impossible to be asking for more measures “under the same blind-alley conditions of our recent past.”

Also, he speaks of a fatal medicine to be taken in higher doses, also using sharp language when saying that the national wealth is being sold out. The Archbishop believes this is a line which he characterized as “a suspicious obsession with failed recipes.”

Ieronymos urges people to fight back against the blackmail and the fatal formulas from abroad, thinking that Greece cannot vanish either because some have believed it, or because others may be anticipating it.”
