Snowfall during the weekend

Significant changes in the weather are expected from Saturday January 28 onwards, with snowfall and a drop in temperature. On Sunday as well as Monday there will be yet another drop in temperature and heavier snowfall.

Attica
Weather: overcast, with rainfall in the east and north and snowfall on the mountains.
Winds: northern-northeastern 4 – 6B.
Temperature: 2 – 9C, 3-4C lower in the north.

Thessaloniki
Weather: overcast, chance of snowfall
Winds: eastern-southeastern 3 – 5B
Temperature: 0 – 5C.

Macedonia and Thrace
Weather: overcast, with rainfall or sleet.
Winds: northern-northeastern 3– 6B
Temperature: -6 – 05C, with frost forming locally in western Macedonia.

Ionian, Epirus, western mainland and western Peloponnisos
Weather: overcast, chance of rain in the Ionian
Winds: eastern-southeastern 3 – 5B.
Temperature: 3 – 13C, -3 – 06 in Epirus.

Thessaly, eastern mainland, Evia and eastern Peloponnisos
Weather: overcast with rainfall and snowfall in the mountain and hilly regions.
Winds: northwestern 3-5B.
Temperature: -1 – 11C, 3-4C lower in the north.

Cyclades and Crete
Weather: rainfall and sporadic storms in Crete and possibly the Cyclades. Snowfall on the mountains of Crete
Winds: northern-northeastern 4 – 6B.
Temperature: 6 – 12C.

Dodecanese and eastern Aegean
Weather: overcast with a chance of rain in the north.
Winds: northern 4 – 6B.
Temperature: 6 – 13C, 3-4C lower in the north.
