All against one
All against one
The “camps” of PASOK are clear
UPD:
The “camps” of PASOK are clear.
Andreas Loverdos, Anna Diamantopoulou and Michalis Chrisohoidis rallied together with George Papandreou. The three members are not one. They bear no alliance to each other, at least not yet. In any case, they found themselves allied with Phillipos Petsalnikos, Louka Katseli and Christos Papoutsis, who had been on George Papandreou’s side to begin with.
The three dauphins made a tactical maneuver trying to get Evangelos Venizelos out of the race, yet he still remains the undisputed favorite. He ignored the distractions of his competitors and set his own schedule. When the country receives funds, if the PSI and the new loan agreement succeed, nothing and no one can stand in his way. If he fails, then there will be no future. Simple as that.
The National Council of PASOK confirmed the dramatic change in correlations. George Papandreou received little applause. Hippocratous street, however, followed him, as a series of speakers agreed with him.
The second day belonged to others. Giannis Koutsoukos was the first on Sunday morning who stated that he disagreed with the president. Kostas Scandalides and Vaso Papandrou followed suit. The question remains what will happen at night, whether there will be a vote or whether PASOK will move towards a consensus, in order to avoid members being struck off and conflict.
