With an intervention on his blog, PM Lucas Papademos said he believes "the government is effectively implementing the measures contained in its program."
On the occasion of the completion of one month in office, Papademos took stock of the project so far. He referred to the bipartisan support enjoyed by the government scheme he is leading, the decision to disburse the sixth tranche and the majority that approved the state budget. Regarding the latter, he said that its successful implementation will substantially change the financial picture of the country.
His intervention was as follows:
A few days ago we completed our first month in office.
Within this period we achieved important things:
- operation of a government with broader bipartisan support which creates conditions of national cooperation
