They brought the crisis to the armed forces, too

The news that the government, at a time when it is significantly weakened, has decided to replace all four General Chiefs of Staff, has caused quite a sensation.

According to information, earlier today the National Defence Minister called the GEETHA chief, Air Chief Marshal Yannis Yiangos, GES head Lieutenant General Frangos Frangoulis and GEA head Lieutenant Vasilis Klokozas and announced that at his suggestion to the members of KYSEA, they will be judged as having successfully finished their careers and that they be replaced. In addition, he will propose the following individuals as replacements:

- Lieutenant General Michalis Kostarakos, former commander of the 3rd army corps, as the new GEETHA Chief of Staff

- Lieutenant General Konstantinos Zazias , commander of the 4th army corps, as the new GES Chief of Staff.

- Air Marshall Antonis Tsantirakis, commander of the Tactical Air Force,  as new GEA Chief of Staff and

- Rear Admiral Kosmas Christidis, Chief of Staff of the Fleet Command of the Hellenic Navy, as new GEN Chief of Staff.
