Action by employees complaining about wage cuts and working reserves continues for yet another week, affecting citizens. Demonstrations will culminate next Wednesday with the 24-hour strike of GSEE and ADEDY. Indeed, ADEDY proposed to GSEE to turn the 24-hour strike into a 48-hour one.
Specifically, all public transport other than the Suburban Railway, is stopping on Thursday and Friday, as employees in urban transport have decided to proceed with a 48-hour strike.
There is a rally and march towards Parliament planned for 11 am.
Garbage will remain in the streets for another week since local authority workers decided to continue their strike until October 19th, occupying municipal garages and landfills
Meanwhile, ships in ports around the country will remain docked for three days. The PNO decided to proceed with a 48 hour strike from Monday 6am until Wednesday October 19th.

Customs employees decided upon the announcement of two 48-hour strikes beginning Friday and lasting until Tuesday.
This means that customs officials will be going on strike for ten straight days since they had already announced three 48-hour ones beginning on Tuesday the 18th.
Teachers and tutors are also proceeding with work stoppages. Teachers are deliberating on moving to rolling, five-day strikes.
Lawyers nationwide are striking until the 19th of October, after a decision made by the Bar Committee.
Public media (ERT, APE-MPE, public radio stations, the Vouli channel are also going on a 48-hour strike, from 6am on Thursday until 6am on Saturday.
Museums and archaeological sites are closed on Wednesday due to the 48-hour strike by YPPOT employees. There will be a protest in front of Akropoli at 11:00 Thursday.
Prison officials are also proceeding with work stoppages on Thursday and Friday.
Tax officials are doing the same with two 48-hour strikes from the 17th until the 20th of October.
Bank employees are going on a 48-hour strike on the 18th and 19th.
OME-OTE will be participating in the 24-hour strike on October 19th.
