In accordance with the provisions contained in Venizelos’ new bill of law, which will be submitted on Thursday, the supplementary pensions of 670000 pensioners of IKA ETEAM will be reduced by 30% for any amounts exceeding 150 EUR.
A flat reduction of 15% will be included in the supplementary pensions of bank and DEKO pensioners. The dividend of retired public sector employees issued by the civilian employees fund will be reduced by 15%-20%.
Thus, for example, the average supplementary pension of EYDAP will be reduced to 425 euros from its current 500- euro mark.
The reductions in the supplementary pensions of problematic funds will be scaled. Specifically, the supplementary pensions of public sector employees who retired in 2010 will be cut by 15%, while the supplements of those who retired in 2011 will be cut by 20%. The PPC employees’ supplementary pension will be reduced by 25% for those retired in 2010 and by 30% for those retiring this year.
The same bill of law is also set to “unblock” the hiring of 57.000 unemployed individuals for community service programs in all regions of the country.

The legislation stipulates that ASEP can be entrusted with the supervision and control of the selection process of beneficiaries who, as stated by Mr. Koutroumanis, is meant to ensure the transparency and objectivity of recruitment.
It is worth pointing out that the ASEP president had expressed objections relating to the fact that transparency cannot be guaranteed, while there was also a problem with the involvement and role of NGOs.
The legislation also stipulates that ASEP will verify the legitimacy of rankings listed by the recipient agencies and investigate complaints submitted by participants.
