Philipp Rösler arrives, the government committee meets

Protothema.gr’s information is confirmed, as the Prime Minister has met the request of his top minister, arranging the meeting of the Government Committee for 10am on Thursday.

The request for a meeting of the government committee sent to Messrs. George Papandreou and Evangelos Venizelos in order to address the urgent political and economic development was initiated by Kostas Skandalidis, Mihalis Xrisohoidis, Anna Diamantopoulou and Andreas Loverdos.

It appears that there is a lack of communication within the government, since even top ministers did not know any details on the Prime Minister and Finance Minister’s plans.

It is evident that there is mobility ahead of tomorrow’s arrival of the German Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Philipp Rösler, who is heading the delegation of German businessmen, while the German press is presenting him as a bearer of a plan for Greece’s controlled default.

In this context, the meeting with the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos has been scheduled for today. The obvious purpose: the developments in the Eurogroup meeting on Monday, as well as yesterday’s telephone conversation between George Papandreou and German Chancellor Angela Merkel
