Since earlier this afternoon, former President of the Republic Kostis Stephanopoulos has been hospitalized in a room on the 10th floor of "Evangelismos" hospital, fully conscious, with clarity of mind and in good physical condition, as was indicated by his doctors.
The tests to which he was submitted immediately after being admitted to the hospital at around 2pm, showed that he had suffered a "mild ischemic stroke." Stefanopoulos was in Aegina when he felt unwell. He was transported by hydrofoil to Piraeus, where an ambulance was waiting for him to take him to "Evangelismos."
