Temperature will once again reach 40C

Wednesday’s high temperatures, expected to reach 40C in many regions around the country, extends the extreme heat along with the people's discomfort. A minor temperature drop and light northern winds will bring some relief on Thursday.

More analytically, sunshine with high temperatures and local rainfall or storms are expected on the mountains of Epirus and possibly in Macedonia too, from midday onwards.

The temperature in northern Greece will range between 20-35C, 21-38 in western Greece, 22-40 in central and southern Greece and 23-37 in the island regions.

Winds in the southern Aegean will be northwestern low to moderate, strong in the east, and will gradually turn to western-southwestern and almost stormy. The rest of the Aegean will have low winds that will turn to western, almost stormy during the night. Ionian winds will be low but will gradually turn to northwestern moderate to strong.

Weather: sunshine and heat.
Temperature: will reach 37C.
Winds: low, western-northwestern, moderate to strong at night.

Thessaloniki
Weather: sunshine with chances of local rainfall from the afternoon.
Temperature: will reach 35C.
Winds: low, southeastern moderate to temporarily strong at midday.
