A widespread police operative is underway in Larissa in order to dismantle a large cartel, with the participation of National Intelligence and its valuable information. That information includes hundreds of recorded telephone conversations between members of the cartel who were actively selling “hard” drugs and were involved in other criminal activities.
Up until now, 43 people have already been arrested, while 150 extra names are included in the report, pertaining to both nationals and foreigners involved in the cartel. According to preliminary information, a large quantity of cocaine and 45 luxury cars has been seized, while at least eight hideouts were discovered containing weapons, which have now been confiscated.
In detail, during police investigations, the following items were found and seized:
1.303 grams of cannabis
44 grams of Cocaine
6.1 grams of Heroine
Eight cannabis trees
5 double scales
Two handguns with silencers
One shotgun
One gas-operated handgun with a silencer
One axe
One sword
Eight knives
One pair of knuckledusters
Two pepper spray cans
Two pairs of binoculars
Eighty eight cellphones
Eleven SIM cards
Forty three cars
32.350 euros
Four bank account booklets
One emergency car beacon
One Traffic Police ticket block
Two gold detection rods
One metal detector
The members of the crime ring were probably involved in cases of trafficking, since dozens of foreign women’s passports were found in their possession, many of which were forged. The Larissa Police Department will soon make announcements on the story.
