Tourist arrivals on the island of Rhodes and the other islands of the Dodecanese complex in the Aegean Sea are on the rise, according to travel agents.

According to data released on Monday, tourist arrivals in June increased by 27 percent in comparison with the same month in 2010. (ana-mpa)
Tourist arrivals on charter flights totaled 301,641 in June at Rhodes airport, compared with 237,156 in the same month of 2010.
Britons and Germans were top of the list in terms of arrivals, followed by Italians, Swedes, Russians and Israelis.
The biggest increase in arrivals to Rhodes was from Israel, up by 73.33%, followed by Russia, up by 61.12%, Poland, up by 58.62% and Finland, up by 41.7%.
Occupancy rates in Rhodes hotels were at high levels, and the same is anticipated for the coming months.
