53,000 Greek applications in 2011 to immigrate to the USA

There have been many songs written about the cruelty of separation of immigrants from their family, but Greeks are once again ready to immigrate. The common goal is to find hope in another country. At the time when Greece is signing the Mid-term, its citizens are fleeing the country, looking for better options at the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. The dramatic financial situation and the unemployment are now pushing Greeks with degrees to move away even if they are aware that the chances of their application being successful are much slimmer than they would have been some decades ago.
