“There is no agreement on public works”

On Monday, Infrastructure minister Giannis Ragousis will ask for an inter-party agreement in order to find a solution on the deadlock of the construction contracts, at the same time saying that the ex-leadership did not help things progress.

Ragousis is calling for dialogue and solutions, making it clear that there will be no magic wands to deal with the problem and accuses his predecessor Dimitris Reppas, now Administrative Reform minister, of all the misdeeds in the ministry concerning the works.

He characterized the contracts in question as the greatest development work in progress that is currently running in the country and wishes that all sides are familiarized with the exact path followed by the ministry.  “It is also the premier’s wish to agree with all parties on matters of national importance”, said Ragousis. He concluded by underlining that he has been faced with immense difficulties ever since he received his new portfolio.
