Indignants regroup at Syntagma despite yesterday’s chemical warfare

Despite yesterday’s chemical warfare, an unusually large number of Indignants, for the current time and day, has gathered at Syntagma. This time they are not shouting at the politicians and the memorandum, but against the riot police and the police in general, accusing them of trying to break up yesterday’s peaceful protest.

Tear gas cans, souvenirs of yesterday’s battle, are hanging everywhere. And the Indignants have managed to bring the square back to its previous condition, putting their tents up once again and rebuilding their makeshift clinics that were destroyed during the incidents.

Police presence in the city centre has been strong since early in the morning.

At this time there is traffic chaos in the centre, with most of the surrounding streets around Syntagma being closed due to the gathering of Indignants, as well as GSEE and ADEDY in Kalfthmonos square.
