Indignant citizens keep their 8th Day rendez-vous
More than 4000 people have gathered once more in Syntagma square.

For the eighth consecutive day, thousands of Indignant citizens have gathered in Athens and other Greek cities, in order to protest against the Memorandum and government policy. Many protesters spent the night in the 25 tents set up around Syntagma Square.

Pots, pans and slogans are aplenty in the square, while a new protest movement has been added to the existing list of those in Syntagma. The movement is “The Society for the Protection of Citizens from the Arbitrariness of Banks”, whose members seek a further postponment of the auctioning off of public property.

Shortly after 6pm, hundreds of motorists passed by the House and expressed their own Indignation with flags, horns and revving engines.

It seems, however, that yesterday’s massive demonstration of the Indignants has “scared” Parliament Members into… getting off work early!

According to reports, no member is in Parliament at this time.

On Sunday at 18:00, there will be a new “day of European Revolution” as “Indignants” of 27 countries will take to the streets in 100 cities.
