The taxation measures that the government will take can only bring 1.4
billion euros to the state. However, this amount is just "a drop in the
ocean" of deficits and so for the additional 3,4bil, the following
measures are promoted
Despite the dogma that "money exists" and the announcements about cuts in state expenditure, the program only provides for 140mil euros from reductions in the operational costs of the state.
However, the government commit to closing the grants valve for public entities, reducing the benefits to remote regions and eliminating or merging entities in order to save an additional 450mil euros.
- the enforcement of solidarity contribution "in favor of unemployment" on public sector wages, and an increase of the same contribution in the private sector. Along with the income from combating contribution evasion (?) they hope to collect 800mil and an additional 380 from combating tax evasion
- the exclusion of beneficiaries from the allowance of OAED (child benefit, etc.), of the Workers' Housing, as well as EKAS, so that only those with incomes at subsistence level will be entitled to them
- cuts in health benefits, increase of solidarity contribution in high pensions, but also new contribution of the LAFKA type for those who took early retirement before their 60s, reduction of the state lump sum, reduction of supplementary pensions in funds with deficits, aiming at 800 mil euros
- reduction of employees under contract, probability of part time work in the public sector, elimination of wage maturation, increase of working hours (from 37,5 to 40 per week), for 550mil euros
- taxation increase for boats, pools, luxury cars, expensive real estate, evaluation and elimination of tax exemptions and other exclusions, for 770mil euros
