POE-OTA is escalating its protests with today’s 24-hour strike of all the workers in local government offices.
It is reacting to the extension of the working hours in kindergartens, claiming that such a move will take away from their educational nature.
They will meet at 12pm at the offices of their Federation in the centre of Athens and then march toward the Interior ministry and the Parliament.
ADEDY will also perform a work stoppage from 11:30am until the end of the working day, opposing the bill that provides for an increase of working hours, transfers etc. and is being discussed in Parliament.
