"Cherchez Akis" for the submarine case

Athanasios Katsirodis, Deputy Prosecutor of the Supreme Court, sent two files to Parliament relating to the case of the submarine purchase, on which he had conducted extensive legal research.

According to reports, the submission of both files was made in order to investigate the possible criminal liability of former government minister of PASOK, Mr. Akis Tsochatzopoulos, as well as members of the then-ruling party, which decided to award a contract to build four Type-214 submarines and modernize three Poseidon submarines, and sign contracts of mutual benefit.

The case of the second file forwarded to Parliament concerns any liability of other government members (from the PASOK and New Democracy parties), which dealt with the implementation and enforcement of the original contract.
