Politicans booed by public

Verbal attacks on politicians are everyday news nowadays, and the targets are either members of the government or other members of parliament. The most recent example is the Minister of Culture Mr.Pavlos Geroulanos, who was attacked this Wednesday at the European Parliament in Brussels. The incident occurred during a reception that was organized by European MP Chrysoula Paliadeli for the commemoration of the Marathon Battle.

Mr. Geroulanos was present and suddenly protestors entered the room and unfolded a sign that wrote “barbarians”, referring to the EU, the IMF and the government. One of the protestors, in perfect English, spoke of Keratea and the horrible things that have been occuring in the area.
