"Optical illusions" for lowering the defecit

Our country’s deficit is greater than 8,5% in relation to last year, but 55 million euros short of our goal for the 1st semester of the Memorandum, said the Ministry of Finance, although public expenditure is not decreasing and state revenue is 9,1 % less than last year.

The state deficit for the period January-February 2011 was 1,024 bil.euros instead of 1.079 billion that was the goal, although 860 million have been cashed in at the moment.

The governement is hiding the fact that it has not included the tax returns that are going to be given to tax payers so 160 million fewer tax returns are showing a better future image for the economy at the moment.
