TNT found at the hideout in Volos

TNT, wireless cameras, notes on target/banks and 3 laptops were found at the apartments of Kallithea and Volos and are already under the police microscope. The weapons found in the hideout at Nea Ionia in Volos were not used in a terrorist attack.

Ballistics showed that they were «clean». However, the possibility they might have been used in another form of terrorist action is still under investigation. So, police have turned their focus on the calls to and from certain phones, and also to the rest of the findings.

«We feel we’re done with the Conspiracy of the Cores of Fire… Now we are looking for the ties to other groups of the urban guerilla warfare…», said a counterterrorism officer.

During the investigation at the hideout at Nea Ionia in Volos the following items were found and confiscated:
•   2 TNT bars of 600 kg
•   2 notebooks with handwritten notes that describe the way, the means, the tactics, as well as the prospective targets
•   7 fake police IDs
•   2 pairs of fake car license plates
•   4 wireless micro-cameras

•   Gelatins with ID water marks
•   Laminating machine
•   Money
 
The apartment at 182 Sapfous Str in Kallithea, which was rented under a fake ID, contained:
•   35 duffel bags, many of which had clothes and burglary tools
•   2 fake police IDs
•   3 laptops
•   1 replica handgun
•   5 micro-cameras
•   Mobile phones
•   Laminating machine
