All farmers take to the streets

New strikes in most Greek cities, this time concerning all farmers, starting on Friday morning. Farmers occupied the Agricultural Bank of Greece in Pella and Imathia, where they remained until 2pm.

The farmers and all agricultural workers are asking, among other things, that the Agricultural Bank remain under State control.

Their demonstrations will take place again on the 5th of February, when farmers march on the Exhibition of Poultry and Stock Feed in Salonica.

In Argos, there were minor incidents and commotion when the farmers blocked the city center until 3 o' clock.  
In Serres, farmers parked their tractors in front of the bank and entered it, obstructing the bank's daily business and trying to secure written confirmation that the specific branch will not shut down (if it did, they would have to travel many kilometers to carry out their day-to-day transactions).
 

Farmers from Achaia and Larisa are going to take part in all demonstrations and actions.
